THE Festival started as a dream in April 2006, within 2 months of the birth of E365. It was a dream to host the biggest concert in Kolkata- an impossible one- the one we are still working on till date. Then it happened for real for the first time. 28th August 2012. Kolkata witnessed Poets Of The Fall live at Nazrul Mancha. 4000 fans screamed their lungs out in joy. At the City of Joy! It was our first baby step. The next 17 chapters featuring Michael Learns To Rock, Infected Mushroom, Karnivool, The Aristocrats, Bumblefoot, Skyharbor, and more than 150 great performers, brought Kolkata, Guwahati and Imphal closer to artists across multiple genres and nations, and the fans closer to their dreams! If the little birdie has to be believed, the concert that we had been planning for since 2006 will eventually see the light of the day on 8th December, 2024. We have more stuff lined up, before and after this, all equally exciting, IF NOT MORE!
WHO IS IT GONNA BE THE NEXT TIME?
THE Festival has consciously struggled to deliver better each time. All we can say now is we promise that we won't disappoint you with the next one too! Don't forget to drop in your suggestions and requests in our mailbox. We love everything rock, pop, metal, hip hop- you name it, we got them all!
PARKING & SHUTTLES
Parking lot will be located at the nearest paid parking zones closest to the venue. Parking at your own risk on a first come first served basis, subject to availability of parking space. Scribble your address on your palm just in case you decide to get sloshed out at the gig. And, if caught drunk and driving, it is absolutely your fault and liability. Remember, we are warning you even now! Paid shuttles and drivers are always available on advance booking.
ACTIVITIES IN THE VENUE
In front of the stage- listening to awesome music! In front of the stalls- treating your taste buds to yummy snacks. In front of the bar- being Captain Haddock and shouting "Billions of Blistering Blue Barnacles"! Inside the venue- meeting new people, making new friends, taking selfies, groupfies, moshfies, and of course, having the best time of your lives banging your heads off in a giant moshpit, or setting the dance floor on fire! Memories that you make at THE Festival will last forever.
KEEP OUR VENUE GREEN & CLEAN
We don't want to educate you about the needs of a green city. We may, however, inform you that getting permissions of large scale concerts in this city is a major task- so abide by all rules and regulations PLEASE! Just use the dust bins. People caught littering will be thrown off the premises into a large dustbin vat (coloured in blue and white) outside!
